A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its response. We do not retain or record those search terms in our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We keep an email message when needed to answer it. Messages remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive standard technical information when a page loads:
- Pages viewed, visit length, and page-view times
- Device type and operating system
- Internet Protocol address
- Referring site, when one is supplied
- Browser name and version
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. Analytics providers combine that usage information for us. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some functions behave.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Henry County Criminal History does not keep, aggregate, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Henry County sheriff, local courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-record profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing practices govern information submitted through those tools. We do not control those rules, so review the provider's policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff, court, state-agency, legal-resource, or outside search websites. Once a visitor leaves our pages, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may use activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs through their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to:
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks placing ads on pages
- Search providers processing a submitted query
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected information. No internet-connected system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If a minor's information was supplied, use the Contact page to request its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights may depend on the law where a visitor lives. Tennessee's public-record framework includes the Tennessee Public Records Act resources, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 10-7-501 through 10-7-515, while public TBI criminal-history dissemination is authorized by Tenn. Code Ann. § 38-6-120. Those government-record laws do not turn this private site into a records custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request deletion of eligible personal data
- Ask what personal information we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Object to processing where an applicable right permits it
